RECUPERATION LITERATURE AND HAKYO ISHIDA
Even when world warIIhas ended a difficult situation on
people's life still remaind, residence at temporary shelter,
food shortage, continual electricity failure.
Under the such poor circumstances, people were suffering
from tuberculosis attributed by fatique and malnutrition in
the wartime. It can be said that the disease was baptism of
fire which everybody from youth to manhood regardless sex
have to undergo.
There were no mediscen, and the only they can do was to
extract a focus. People struggled the disease by enduring
pain on the bed.
A short form of literature such as poem, Tanka, Haiku and
radio program on recuperative mentaly support for those
people. Many poets were inflicted the life of struggling
disease and this situation produced poets.
Hakyo Ishida held the top possition in Haiku world. He
became promissing standardbarner of the literary world in
his early age.
Whill fighting at the front in the continent he got sick
and his struggling for disease lingered even after the war.
His works were complied as poet anthology Sekimei(Dearest
Life) and Kyogyohen(Chest Variation), which mostoly written
Kiyose Sanatrium and gave us ray of light to live. His works
were very popular among poets in that fild in that time.
