THRONG OF KUGUTSU(JAPANESE GYPSY)
It is famous the gypsy in Europe, also in Japan there
supposedly people lived like them. The aborigines subjugated
, relatives of ruling clan after defeated, started a
wandering life driven away from their homeland.
Among them, there seemed to be singers and players of
flutes, drums, chinese fiddlers, biwa to earn the daily food
, also prologuist for the play, clowns to crack laughter,
acrobats of tight walking. It might be a lively group.
Such a group was named , there were evidence that
the blind, and so called midgets, hunchbacks showed their
unique arts in the group.
They might be original members, others might joined asking
protection after leaving villages due to difficulties to
engage in agriculture or fishery with physical disability.
Regendarily Yoshitsune Minamoto untilized throng of
Kugutsu when he went from Mt.Kurama to Oshu by stealth.
