FROM HIRUKO TO EBISU
The disabled appeared in Japan at the beginning of history.
It might be rather world of myth literature than history, a
baby was born between Izanamino mikoto and Izanamino mikoto
who were like Adam and Eve of Japan, had disability.
When he became 3years old, still he had a limp body, far
beyond walking. He was called Hiruko. Probably he looked
like a hiru(leech), which flutteringly swims in paddy field
and sucks blood of animals.
In modern terms he could be a immature baby(aiso maternal
body might be immature) caused serious cerebral palsy.
He was abandoned by parents both occupied with constructing
new country, set adrift in a boat made of reed into ocean,
wrote off from history.
The Hiruko revived in faith of ordinary people. It was
Ebisu, god of wealth. The rush boat reached a seashore and
Hiruko became the god of fishing called Ebisu.
There is a case Hiruko in Japanese is pronounced Ebisu,it
serves as god proof.
It was real resucitation.
It is what we call rehabilitation.
