STRATEGISTS IN THE AGE OF WARS

Kansuke Yamamoto, the brains of the invincible Takeda army,
reportedly was in reality, a man who dragged his shorter leg
, missing one of eyes whth innumerable wounds on body, small
and badlooking.
As he made himself of the tactician of a feudal load,
afterhe had come adrift from other region, we can infer how
intelligent he shoud have been.
By the way, Hideyoshi Toyotomi who later obtained the
ruling power of Japan, had the No.1 strategist of the age,
Hanbei Takenaka beside him. He was said worthy of aiming at
the whole country.
He suffered from a disease in the chest and planned
recuperative life, then changed his mind, moved by passion
of Hideyoshi even it might shorten his lifespan.
Both two passed away accomplishing their purpose of life,
on the other hand, Josui Kuroda(Kanbei) lived long and left
a prosperous family behind him.
Once he was confined in the Itami Castle when he visited
there as messanger of Hideyoshi, one of the knee became
unstretchable. They say that he took the command of battles
at the front line on a palaquin carried on sholders of
subjects.
There were other men, Kiyomasa Kato and Ukon Takayama,
some say that they had suffered Hansen's desease.
The age of wars gave birth to the disabled, sacrificed
their lives, but on other hand, even the disabled were
attached importance depending on one's ability.
